औद्योगिक कर्मचारियों की चिकित्सकीय देखरेख व स्वास्थ्य सुविधायें, प्रत्येक देश में श्रम कल्याण का एक समग्र भाग है। जिसके अन्तर्गत किसी व्यवसाय या रोजगार में लगे हुए लोगों की सुरक्षा, , सहकर्मियों, परिवार के सदस्यों के, स्वास्थ्य एवं कल्याण पर विचार किया जाता है। यह केवल बीमारियों से सुरक्षा ही नही करता बल्कि कार्मिकों को शारीरिक रूप से दक्षता प्रदान कर आर्थिक विकास के लिए उत्तरदायी होता है। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार ‘‘स्वास्थ्य वह सम्पूर्ण अवस्था है जिसमें शारीरिक, मानसिक और सामाजिक रूप से व्यक्ति स्वस्थ्य रहता है।
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an area concerned with protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged, co-workers, family members, employees, customers , and many others who might be affected by the workspace environment.
Workspace safety : Owner/Occupier of industries have to comply with legal directions to take care for the safety, health and welfare of their employees. Equally the workers have moral responsibilities to follow all safety norms and healthy on the shop-floor
